Between January 1st and today, we got 117 recommendations for books to read as a group this coming year. Only 4 submissions were duplicated. Which maths into 113 unique submissions.
I’m blown away. You fucking psychopaths. I love you all so much.
Now it’s time to cull the chaff! You can find voting here. Select as many books as you’d like to read (and ideally show up to chat about). This first round of voting will compile our shortlist, which we will then vote on to get our next 4-5 picks.
And finally, our meeting to discuss Benny' Morris’ssss 1948 will be toward the end of February. If you would like to voice your strong opinions about which date exactly, you can join us here.
Read on!

If anyone else is a cheapskate (like me in this economy), 1948 is available on JSTOR for your downloadable needs; https://www.jstor.org/stable/j.ctt1np9bm
Thank you so much for putting this together Jaye!
Not to be that guy, but two little corrections:
1. Life and Fate by Grossman is there twice
2. Dostoevsky's The Possessed and Demons are both listed, however these are the same book. Translators have debated over what the correct English translation should be.
Looking forward to discussing 1948 with everyone!
