Good morning, and happy New Year. I’m writing from the past (Dece 31) hoping by the time you’re reading this in the future we have flying cars, more freedom, and better, space-age haircuts.

Our next read, already selected, is Benny Morris’ (Morris’s?) (Morrissssss (like the snek, get it?)) 1948. Get it from your local bookstore, or wherever.

And finally, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, we’re opening the 2025 book club reading list selection process.

• No Step¹ One: make recommendations here. Suggest one title at a time, as many times as your wee heart desires, using this same form link. Please include full title and author.

  • Lest you consider this inconvenient, recall last year, I allowed multiple suggestions per form submission, and then had to manually sort out suggestions and compile/remove duplicates. A data management failure, putting all Capricorns² to shame.
