Good morning, and happy New Year. I’m writing from the past (Dece 31) hoping by the time you’re reading this in the future we have flying cars, more freedom, and better, space-age haircuts.
Our next read, already selected, is Benny Morris’ (Morris’s?) (Morrissssss (like the snek, get it?)) 1948. Get it from your local bookstore, or wherever.
And finally, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, we’re opening the 2025 book club reading list selection process.
No Step1 One: make recommendations here. Suggest one title at a time, as many times as your wee heart desires, using this same form link. Please include full title and author.
Lest you consider this inconvenient, recall last year, I allowed multiple suggestions per form submission, and then had to manually sort out suggestions and compile/remove duplicates. A data management failure, putting all Capricorns2 to shame.
No Step Two: we vote! This first round will weed out the losers and posers and will lead us to…
No Step Three: voting on the shortlist to pick our top ~5 books to read over the course of 2025.
Questions, comments, concerns, confusions? Reach out to Us, or send me a dm.
With undying love, and hopefully not an undying hangover,
Jaye
I’m sorry, this joke will never get old <3 <3 <3
seasons greetings to my fellow goats :-*
Thanks for your leadership jaye!!!
Ty Jaye! The joke gets old NEVER
I'm still a newbie with an abominable attendance record and I'm nervous that I'd suggest some, like, pop history considered the non-fiction equivalent of an Emily Henry novel: "People We Meet on Vacation in the Gaza Strip" or something. Maybe I'll just observe *the process* this time 👀
