Our polling so far has revealed a commitment to meeting before the end of the year, December 29th, to be exact, to meet and discuss Sowell’s chunky boy Migrations and Cultures. We will likely meet that Sunday in the eve, but may shift the time to accommodate our ex-pats and internationals.
You can join us here, if you’d like to play along at home.
Looking forward to seeing you here, there, and everywhere.

On p.11 Sowell talking about blood feuds between people in the mountains and lowlands. If you have Sam Harris’s Moral Landscape on your shelf, read the first couple pages. It starts with Albania’s concept of the “kanun” - fascinating!!
I think I finished 1936 around the time you all met to discuss John Stuart Mill, who ended up being too high a mountain for me to climb. But I am loving Sowell and looking forward to discussing whether I finish it or not. I appreciate this book club!
