Special Dispatch #89 – The Historians – Sean McMeekin
Listen now | In the latest installment of The Historians, Michael Moynihan does a deep dive with Sean McMeekin, the Francis Flournoy Professor of European History and Culture at Bard College, and author of the terrific (and controversial) new book Stalin's War: A New History of World War II…

Funny tidbit: in the dispatch, Michael mentions that Columbia has an endowed professorship named after Alger Hiss. McMeekin doesn't correct him, but the truth is even funnier. It's not Columbia, it's Bard College - in McMeekin's own department:

Shockingly, accordingly to two extensive Google Drive tables of book mentions on the Fifth Column Podcast, it seems that the book was never mentioned in an episode outside of the Special Dispatch where Moynihan interviewed the author. Is that true?
